The next Public-i User Group will be on the 21st of June – which is, as I’m sure won’t have escaped your notice, fast approaching.
We’ve already sent out an email – on our user group list – with the basic details, but for those who don’t know it will be the usual mix: a morning going through technical and development issues, with plenty chance for questions, followed by an afternoon discussion where we chew the fat on a specific topic.
This time that specific topic is Networked Councillors, a project we’ve been working on with Improvement East that looks at how councillors can be ready for the digital, networked age.
You can learn more about the project, by looking at the Networked Councillor blog or you can look at the post I’ve just published here on our blog which embeds Catherine’s presentation to the Cheshire West and Chester webcasting open day.
We’ve spoken before about how it’s important for councils, councillors and, more generally, other democratic institutions to take on the values of a networked world, but this will be a chance to talk about how this fits in with webcasting. And there’ll be plenty of opportunity to think of practical examples of how it fits in.
We’ll be back in our usual place – the Hallam Conference Centre, near Great Portland Street Tube station. You can find the details and address here.
If you’d like to come please email Jane or call us on 01273 821 282.
