We’ll be at the Solace Summit conference this week, which this year’s in Edinburgh. The annual gathering of local authority chief executives starts tomorrow – and we’ll be represented by Catherine Howe, Mathew Jellings, David Eaton and Alan Jones.
The conference has an interesting flavour this year – with five separate propositions up for discussion. Each is, essentially, a debating point on the direction of travel for local authorities.
Our very own chief exec, Catherine, is the facilitator for one of these (Local government can drive economic growth) – and you can see the fruits of that labour at the Solace Summit blog, which she has helped set up and run. There’s a very active discussion on the five propositions, also hosted by the likes of Anthony Zacharzewski and David Clark , Solace’s director general.
Mathew Jellings and David Eaton will be at the stand presenting more material on our digital engagement work. They’ll also be talking about our recent work for Liverpool’s budget meetings – which you can see more about here. I’ll be adding more about both these subjects very soon.
I’m sure we’ll get more information as the conference unfolds – and a review of the conference when it finishes. To follow on Twitter you can check Public-i as we’ll keep an eye on them while they’re there.
